“My art practice is a symbolic and figurative exploration of the female subject. Allusions to literature, art history and mythology punctuate my paintings and sculpture. My work tips into memoir and flirts with fiction. Every figure – whether human, animal or mythological – are channels of emotion and affect. I think of each work as a small poem that weaves together like chapters of the same book” – Sarah Parker.
