“When most people think of ceramic objects, small, detailed vases and figurines come to mind. So for Stephen Cramb conceiving a falling gangly 6 foot ceramic figure ensured he produced the inverse of this ideal. Cramb’s ceramic work, The Fall, was created at the heavily industrial Kholer plant in the United States, and includes the figure, his restoration, body parts and empty buckets, so that the show succeeds in uniting the delicate with the maladroit.” Stephen Cramb – The Fall, Ray Hughes Gallery Sydney, until April 27.
