We are very pleased to announce that Cementa_13 has received funding from Arts NSW. The generous grant for nearly $60,000 will go predominantly toward paying the over seventy artists who will be contributing to the festival through making, installing and exhibiting work. It is an incredible outcome for the festival, the town of Kandos and the region, as well as for the rights of artists to get paid for the work that they do so tirelessly, and so often for free. We would like to thank all of the artists, local supporters, arts supporters, and the Mid-Western Council for the groundswell of enthusiasm, encouragement and material support that helped to convince us that this festival was not only possible, but a pretty good idea to boot. It seems, the NSW government agrees with you. We promise we wont let money change us, though we do think the festival needs its own helicopter.
