“With her latest exhibition, Pink Thing, Ali Noble primarily pays homage to pink. Noble continues the development of an artistic practise where art, craft and totemic elements energetically converge. For Noble the aesthetic influence of Indian textiles and decorative motifs combined with a DIY spirit, underpin her merging of hi-fi colour and lo-fi techniques. The final result being an exhibition-slash-installation-slash-pink meta-shrine. In addition, in a unique arrangement between Factory 49 and an adjacent biscuit factory, Ali Noble has painted a facade of the factory in vibrant neon pink stripes.”
