Snow White does not want to grow addresses anorexia and investigates the pathological relationship between Snow White and her jealous mother. We follow Snow White’s struggle with her own burgeoning sexuality in her quest for eternal childhood; trapped in a growing adolescent body with repressed but desired feminine forms. The work includes a series of preparatory photographs and a dreamlike installation including a live Snow White on the opening night. This artwork was commissioned to support the annual charity art show “Art Exposing Eating Disorders” in Mori Gallery in August 2008. The group show was curated by Rhiannon Bulley and aimed to gather a better understanding of eating disorders. Artwork: Elodie Silberstein; Model: Belinda LLoyd
