Dear Art Lifers,
As you are probably aware, the Federal government is committed to introducing legislation in Parliament to establish an Artists’ Resale Royalty Scheme very soon.
This is terrific news about an issue that artists have been fighting for for thirty years in Australia.
I am however most concerned that a realistic and viable Scheme that assists artists is implemented and therefore seek the support of you and your friends in asking the Government to do this job properly.
Please sign this petition to your support for an amendment of the proposed Artists’ Resale Royalty Scheme so it applies to all resales of works in copyright occurring after the legislation takes effect, not just resales of works acquired after that date. Go to the petition: click here
