Our recent review of two new apps for the iPad and iPhone from Art Guide and Artwhatson prompted some mails and comments from their creators.
The review noted that the Art Guide app had a problem with crashing while updating and a paucity of listings. Kim Butterworth from Art Guide writes: “We’re happy to report that an initial bug causing some problems with intermittent closure has been fixed. And at last count 10 galleries under B in NSW!”
Artwhatson’s Paul Becker wrote concerning our inability to master the “favourites” aspect of the app to explain: “Appreciate your feedback re Favourites – you favourite a Gallery rather than an exhibition, but agree it should be more clear! You may be interested to know we’ve had over 16,000 downloads since launching only 2 months ago, so I’m really happy that we are helping people engage with the visual arts more easily.”
