“These works evolved from a series of drawings the artist made of dingos at Taronga Zoo in 2001. They also include bats from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. In these works Kingsford-Smith has captured an elemental, animalistic sense of the dingoes and their movement. The works have a kind of eerie malevolence juxtaposed with the vigorous colour palette.” – Ian Kingsford-Smith
