A new video artwork by Ash Keating, titled A New Lifelong Landscape, created during June/July 2011 in collaboration with film maker Jonnie Leahy.
“A painterly study through video, exploring and coming to terms with the landscape surrounding the edge of road in Thorpdale South where my mother lost her life. Making sense and peace with this place through my art is part of the grieving process and a signifier of the beginning of a lifelong relationship with this place within the Gippsland landscape. As part of the exhibition What’s Yours is Mine – Catherine Bell, Chris Bell (US), Jecca (US), Ash Keating. Curated by Jan Duffy & Catherine Bell, at Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts, 26 Acland St, St Kilda, Australia until September 20th, 2011.”
