DUST COVER PAINTING: THE TRIAL BY SYDNEY NOLAN begins a new series of participatory performative works titled my personal art history, made in conversation with existing artworks from collections around the world. The project is a non-chronological journey through my visual memory bringing to life an image archive of artworks stored in my brain from the very first I remember often looking at when I was five: Jozef Chelmonski, Bociany (The Storks), 1900, until my recent intimate dialogue with Sydney Nolan’s, The Trial , 1947, the National Gallery of Australia collection.
