You are invited to Robin Hungerford’s solo exhibition
“I DON’T THINK YOU APPRECIATE THE GRAVITY OF OUR SITUATION”.

The exhibition opens Thursday 1 July from 6pm – 8pm, and continues until Saturday 10 July 2010, 1pm – 6pm.

Locksmith Project Space is located at 6 Botany Rd, Alexandria.

Robin Hungerford is particularly interested in the way in which technology shapes our perception of the world around us as well as the interior world of our own bodies. He sees his work as providing a space where it is possible to reintroduce a sense of strangeness to aspects of the world which have been perceptually frozen in place through a process of thorough scientific dissemination. Through a combination of child-like craft (cardboard, papier-mâché etc.) and consumer electronics Hungerford playfully subverts the widely
accepted, rational, technologically aided understanding of everything.

We look forward to seeing you there.
