“These drawings, which were included in the Kedumba Drawing Award, are what I like to call “thinking drawings”. They capture my thought processes and ideas, and describe the existential path to places, to somewhere out there and maybe nowhere. What I have depicted here are vistas of bridges, playing in the gap between abstraction and reality. All are entangled, fractured, connected and in some way familiar and many ways not” – Louisa Chircop.
