In this performance people will pretend to be cars that will be ‘driven’ in highly populated pedestrian zones. Four people positioned in the same way that tyres are placed on real cars, wearing the same coloured clothes pushing tyres with their hands will represent each ‘car’.

You are invited to participate in this performance as a performer or to simply come and watch. The details of the performance are: Date: Saturday, 16 October

Schwenk directs and choreographs performances with a fun and light-hearted approach, to engender positive experiences for the performers and passers-by that will unwittingly become actors in the shared public space of the intervention. Her interventions have multiple outcomes, namely the performances themselves, and the final evolution of the intervention into photographic, video, text, installation and sculptural works that will be exhibited at a later date. Schwenk exhibits her work internationally, with shows in Australia, Canada, Germany, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United States, and Vietnam. She is the recipient of numerous awards and her work is held in collections around the world. She has studied at the Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney Australia, Köln International School of Design, and Üniversität der Künste Berlin, Germany.
