These drawings are a collection of ritual objects, their basis in Finnish shamanism and nature worship, exploring the interconnectedness of humans, animals and the forest, and cycles of life and death.

Roy supplemented his own images by purchasing 35mm slides of more monuments and the outsides of historic buildings, apparently disinterested in anything that might be found inside them, such as people, food or art.
