Tony Curran, Man Flying Through Air, Oblique, 2008.“
My latest body of work has been drawings which articulate perceptual systems in the mind and how these systems are relevant within Contemporary Art. Using drawings as installations I create form otherwise unobtainable on two dimensional surfaces. Although the drawings themselves are on two-dimensional surfaces, they are made up of components which are separated spatially, by depth, creating three-dimensional viewing experiences. These use additional perceptual processes such as binocular depth perception to create form and engage the viewer on extra planes of pictorial representation – Tony Curran.”
