Over the course of 14 days there are 14 separate exhibitions at Damien Minton Gallery. Taken together this huge and perhaps foolhardy undertaking is One Night Stand, a fantastic snapshot of artists and art-making ranging from professionals to amateurs, solo gigs and crowded groups shows.
For 2013, One Night Stand features some awesomely named artists, such as Total Bore [Bligh W Twifford Moore] whose show features what appears to be a Francis Bacon parody [Dec 13], while Full Force and Captain Pipe [aka Mark Hetherington and Neill McCann] puts the fun back into the trans avant garde [Dec 14]. Although there’s a strong representation of painters, the series also includes ceramics from Claypool [Dec 16], conceptual sculpture from Connie Anthes [Dec 17], and performance from Lottie Consalvo [Dec 21].
